5 Ways To Win the Day!

5 Ways To Win the Day!

by Chris Fabregas December 28, 2019

Many of us wake up and the first thing that we think of in the morning is how much longer we can stay in bed. You may even be one of those people that have their alarms go off as you hit snooze a thousand times. Then you wake up, but are you really awake? You’re more likely just stumbling to your first cup of coffee while checking emails and dreading your day. Starting off like this is not how to win the day. There is a distinct difference that can change how successful you are in your professional and personal life. Here are five ways that can help you win the day.

1. Get An Adequate Amount of Sleep

You need to prioritize sleep if you are going to win the day. Sleep is essential for your mental and physical health. If you don’t get enough sleep, your entire rhythm is thrown off. You won’t be able to focus as well or have the energy you need to accomplish everything on your list of goals. Go to sleep early, wake up early, and notice the difference in how well you feel in the morning.

2. Workout in the Morning

Working out in the morning is not only an excellent way to get energy, but it's also excellent for helping you get motivated and focus on carrying through the rest of your day. You can work out watching a motivational video or by listening to an insightful podcast to make even better use of your time. Plus, having something distract you while you work out helps make the time go by faster.

3. Meditation

It is just as important to practice mindfulness as it is to work out every day. You could listen to positive mantras while you meditate, or you can come up with your own meditations. It doesn’t matter which one you use, as long as you meditate. To do this, you need to sit in a comfortable position in a quiet room. It would help if you closed your eyes and carefully focus on your breathing. Anytime you feel your mind wander, refocus on your breathing. Do this for only a few minutes, and it will make such a fantastic difference for you mentally.

4. Journaling

Journaling is an excellent way to improve both your focus and productivity. You can clear your mind of that harmful “clutter” that is getting in the way of its creativity. You can write down your goals and what you can do to accomplish them. Journaling is an incredibly beneficial way to clear your mind and focus at the start of the day.

5. Eat a Healthy Breakfast

You grew up hearing that breakfast was the most important meal of the day. It really is. A healthy breakfast is one that consists of a protein, healthy fats, and whole grains. By eating a healthy breakfast in the morning, you will have more energy and focus throughout the day, and you will be healthier as skipping breakfast is linked to being overweight.

Your final goal should be to read these steps once a week as a reminder of all you can achieve!
