Colchuck Lake, Washington State Panoramic Photography
I could sit here for hours taking in this breathtaking view in Washington States Cascade Mountains. At the top of a steep 3.5 mile trail (2,300 feet elevation gain, with a 60 pound pack) I came around the corner and there was Colchuck Lake. Suddenly, laid out beneath my feet were the the icy waters of the amazingly blue lake. Reach up high above at the far end of the lake, the twin spires of Dragontail and Colchuck Peaks seem to touch the sky! This 20 x 60 panoramic consist of nearly 30 pictures stitched together to form a crystal clear 150 megapixel fine art photograph.
The vibrance and clarity of this 20" x 60" metal print are sure to bring your walls to life. The printing process preserves photos by infusing dyes directly into specially coated metal sheets. Because the image is infused into the surface and not on it, the archival qualities of this unique process are unparalleled. Unlike traditional printing, which applies ink to the surface of a subject to create an image, sublimation printing utilizes heat and pressure to transfer images directly into the surface of an object.
